Alton Piece is a small, family run riding school set in the heart of the beautiful Worcestershire countryside near to the Wyre Forest. We offer private and small group lessons for adults and children aged 5 and upwards. All of our horses and ponies are carefully selected for their temperament and personality; they are well mannered and schooled to a high standard. We operate all year round, with BHS qualified instruction and excellent facilities including a 20m x 40m sand ménage. At Alton Piece we cater for all abilities, from the complete beginner to the more advanced riders who want to focus on their favourite discipline including dressage, show jumping and course riding. Adult private lessons are available on weekday mornings for total beginners, rusty riders or those who want to advance their riding skills – all ages welcome!
Our patient and friendly staff are here to make sure you 
enjoy interacting with our wonderful horses and ponies and also coax along younger or more nervous riders to bring out the best of their abilities. We also cater for riders with disabilities or special requirements on a one-to-one basis following prior assessment. Riders benefit from a range of different experiences including hacking in the local countryside on quiet country lanes and bridleways. During the school holidays we offer all-day courses where children can learn stable management and horsemanship whilst having fun and meeting new friends. Pony care days include riding, stable management, games and lots of fun!
